Jus Dweet

James 1:27 – “Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.”

The Christian Life is meant to be LIVED! What is happening on the inside is to be reflected on the outside. Our beliefs are to result in actions, giving our faith hands and feet. The gospel is to be preached, Jesus’ love is to be demonstrated, and people’s needs are to be met. The gospel is so much more than words, and ministering to others in their time of need is so much more than just being nice. Everything is about relationship – my relationship with Christ impacts my relationship with everyone else. My relationship with everyone else is a reflection of my relationship with Christ. And how I relate to others is to direct them to the Savior. One of the biggest joys in this ministry is to be in a position to be the hands and feet of Jesus in very tangible ways, and while doing so, direct people to Jesus. This also requires keeping ourselves unstained by the world. If we are to correctly reflect and represent Jesus to a dying world, we need to look and act like Him. This is what God calls each of us to do – whether it is in Jamaica or in our own backyard – so Jus Dweet!
